Sacred Heart is a private hospital, as most hospitals in America are, which means budgetary problems often arise. It aims to offer the best care possible to the people who need it, but people are commonly unable to pay for the bills or are uninsured, so the help they need is not always the help they get. The hospital has some state-of-the-art facilities, but some areas of the building are in disrepair. The running of the hospital is influenced by the chief of medicine and by a Board of Directors. Dr. Kelso was formerly the chief of medicine but has since retired and Dr. Cox took over.It offers emergency services, clinical help, and other medical processes. It has a large staff of surgical and medical doctors, and offers a great educational setting for medical students and interns.
The staff of Sacred Heart Hospital are dedicated to the patients, and always try their best. Sometimes they work so hard their job takes over their lives. There is a strict hierarchy of power at Sacred Heart, but decisions are often challenged. The hospital employs some very experienced doctors down to interns, all who have the opportunity to learn from each other.
Dr Kelso retired and Dr Cox took over Chief of Medicine, and the hospital is running the same. J.D. and Kim desided just to be friends, while trying to be good parents to Sam. Elliot still doesnt know what she wants, After breaking the engagement with Keith, He moves on. Turk and Carla are planning Izzy's Birthday Party, Izzy turns 1 years old. Dr Cox and Jordan are still disfunctional as usual , Jack turns 3 and Jennifer Dyaln is now 5 months old. Janitor still follows J.D. everywhere and Janitor and Lady are also engaged.

Elevators The elevators not only carry people from floor to floor, but they also provide a quick private place to argue, kiss, or both. Some doctors and nurses are skilled enough to time the elevators so they close at the perfect moment to end a conversation. The elevators are large enough to hold many people.

On-call room When doctors are working night shifts on-call, they use the on-call room. The room offers several bunk-beds for taking quick naps, but due to the fast pace of Sacred Heart, even at night, sleep is often hard to achieve. Because it is a secluded area, many people have had intercourse in the on-call room, or at least attempted.

There is a Mrs Pac-Man machine and vending machines for the staff to use. The couches are used to lounge on, while there is a table where research and studying occurs. Cafeteria The cafeteria inside Sacred Heart is always a sure spot to find something to eat. Like high school, sitting at the right table with the right people can add or take away from your credibility. It's hard for someone to eat alone without being bothered. The food seems to be tasty, as complaints are rarely heard.
Appartments (4 sub-boards) This is where everyone lives.

Half-Acre The half-acre is a plot of land that J.D. owns and lives on. He purchased the land with Julie Quinn, After Julie and J.D. broke up, J.D. retained the property rights.
The only thing on the half-acre is a porch that J.D. sleeps on in a tent. He has entertained in the past, inviting over neighbors and friends. He has no electricity and must steal it from his neighbors.

Coffee Bucks Dr. Kelso had the idea to open up a coffee shop in the hospital to bring in some extra revenue for Sacred Heart. It is a new hot spot to think or socialize. The brain trust sometimes meet in Coffee Bucks, but it is not exactly private. J.D.'s former intern Cabbage currently works there, and Janitor had worked there in the past. Dr. Kelso once won muffins for an entire year from Coffee Bucks.

The Roof The roof of Sacred Heart is a great place for members of the staff to meditate or contemplate a tough decision. It offers a decent view, and also is a great place to throw things off of. It is a great meeting place if you are looking for someplace private, and can also be a romantic place to share a kiss. At one point in time there was an toilet on the roof.
